Jebus, that's an achievement and a half. Good on you, MFS.

As I mentioned on page 1 of this thread, duct tape.
On the hands and mouth.
Thanks, folks.

EDIT: Honey, if you read that, I was only kidding.

Belated congratulations to MFS62 and his wife. 42 years together is something to both cherish and be proud of.

Awesome! My parents just had their 40th anniversary last week. It's a testament to making things work, good times and bad.

It's not a wedding anniversary, but thirty years ago I was having lunch during freshman orientation when a nice looking guy sat down at my table. We got to talking and hung out a little after lunch. We ran into each other during some other orientation events, and by the end of orientation had started seeing each other. One month later he was my date for my 18th birthday, so we have been together my entire adult life.

Twenty-six years of marriage and three kids later doesn't seem possible; I still feel like a seventeen-year-old myself. But if I had to do it over again, I wouldn't change a thing. It's been a good life, largely because I found the right person to accompany me through all of the major steps along the way.

Good for you. And what really puts it into perspective is when we hear about those "celebs" who are thrilled when they have been together for more than 15 minutes.
Nice feeling, isn't it?
